Here is how you can get these valuable tokens in Old School Runescape.
In games such as Old School Runescape, we know just how precious currency can be. MMORPG often applies currencies such as gold and coins to pretty much every aspect of trading in the game. OSRS is no different to this.
OSRS gold plays a huge part in how your experience will be. There are many ways in which you have the opportunity to earn OSRS GP, but sometimes you might consider other methods. What are OSRS Ecto-Tokens?
In Old school Runescape, Ecto-tokens are the currency of a place called Port Phasmatys. You will be required to have two of these tokens so that you can get access to the city here. This is a requirement if you haven’t finished the Ghosts Ahoy quest.
You can also use them to charge a bonecrusher, with every token giving you 25 charges for it. Depending on the port that you come from, you can also get a ship to Port Phasmatys as well. If you are in the Animal Magnetism quest or you have completed it, you can buy an undead chicken for 10 Ecto-tokens if you need one. Meanwhile, if you need to get to Dragontooth Island, you can use 25 tokens to give to the Ghost Captain.
How to Get OSRS Ecto-Tokens
So now we know a little background on the tokens themselves, but how can we get our own? If you are looking to grab Ecto-tokens that you can firstly earn them by worshipping the Ectofuntus. For every time you worship, you will get five tokens. You will only be able to spam this so much, as it caps at 200 times after which the Ectofuntus is full. By worshipping 200 times, you will receive 1000 Ecto-tokens. You need to redeem them if you are going to carry on worshipping. To do this, you have to go and find a ghost disciple whilst you are wearing either Morytania legs 2 or above, or having a ghostspeak amulet equipped.
If you are going to worship the Ectofuntus then you are going to need some OSRS items to do so. We are going to need buckets, bones and empty pots. Over to the east of the Ectofuntus will be a set of stairs, where you will find a bone grinder. So, we are going to be using the bone on the loader then winding up the grinder. We then need to empty the bin out so we can get the bonemeal.
Meanwhile, over on the west side of the Ectofuntus, we have a trap door, so head down then take the path to the bottom. Once you do so, you need to use your buckets where the slime is to get the Ectoplasm. A pot of bonemeal is needed for each Ectoplasm bucket you get. With these objects, you can now worship the Ectofuntus to start earning your tokens.
After worshipping the Ectofuntus, you can then get your tokens. All you have to do is go to a ghost disciple with the ghostspeak amulet equipped. You will get five OSRS Ecto-tokens for every Ectoplasm and bonemeal combo.
So, by now you should have a way in which you can get your hands on this currency. As mentioned, you have different currencies for different purposes throughout games such as these. They are catered to exclusive parts of the game however, and a lot of the time don’t have any correlation to the game’s main form of currency.
Ecto-tokens overall are an important part of the game, especially if you are planning on questing. Animal Magnetism, Cabin Fever, Creature of Fenkenstrain, Ghosts Ahoy and Making History all require these tokens in some form or other.
